Containment Solutions

Oil Safe

If you’re concerned about the cleanliness of your oil, consider the Oil Safe System.
The Oil Safe system is a color- coded range of containers that not only identify the product, but also conforms to the EPA and Right to Know laws. This system is considered a “best practice” for industry.

In addition to the container system, there is a Label Safe System that is utilized on the Oil Safe containers, Bulk storage, and Oil Fill points. These labels come 3 ways:

Permanent adhesive label that is water & oil resistant

A water resistant label to be used with Label Safe plastic pockets

Laminated cards

Your employees will know what is in each container and where it is supposed to go.

Spill Pallets

There are a number of federal, state and local regulations that affect the bulk storage of oils in facilities. A critical and current issue affecting many plants is the EPA’s Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasures (SPCC) Rule. These regulations state that facilities with total, above ground oil storage capacity (not actual gallons on site) of greater than 1,320 gallons must comply. If you have more than this you must adhere to the regulations. Ocean State Oil can provide you with Secondary containment for your drums in the form of a 2 or 4 drum spill pallet as pictured below:
